BIOGRAPHY:
Born on 2nd January, 1961 in Ilaro, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria. I am married with three children. I attended the University of Lagos, Akoka-Lagos, Nigeria where I bagged a first and second Degree in Physical education in 1990 and 1991 respectively. The degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria was conferred on me effective from 8th August, 2014. I finished from the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education specialising in Organisation and Administration of Sports. My doctoral thesis is on “Evaluation of the implementation of Federation of International Football Association programmes on futsal development in Nigeria”. In 1998 and 2000, I received Diploma and Higher Diploma Degree Certificates in Football Coaching from the National Institute of Sports, Surulere-Lagos Nigeria.
I worked with Atlantic Hall, Maryland-Lagos a co-educational International Institution as the Director of Sports and Head of Physical Education, Recreation and Co-curricular activities between !990 and 2002. I worked as a Senior Sports (football) Coach at the OlabisiOnabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye between 2002 and 2006. Presently, I am a Lecturer in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Faculty of Education, OlabisiOnabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye (2006-Date).
I started officiating as a referee in the Nigeria Professional League since inception in 1990 and became a Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) referee in year 2000 and retired in December of 2006. I was named the best referee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Challenge cup competitions in 2000 and 2006 editions. I am an International Tennis Federation Certificated Umpire and officiated Tennis games during the All African Games (COJA) 2004, amongst others. I also served as a Technical official during the 10th FIFA Under 19 World held in Nigeria in 1999.
